Apollo Hotels & Resorts supports Earth Hour
Amsterdam, March 22nd 2012 – The Dutch Apollo Hotels & Resorts chain will be supporting the Earth Hour initiative of the World Wild Life Fund for Nature on March 31st. All 15 Apollo hotels will turn off their exterior lights for one hour at 8.30 p.m.
Besides switching off the exterior lights, a number of hotels are offering their guests a candlelight dinner. The Crowne Plaza Den Haag - Promenade is a fine example. "We've put together beautiful dishes using pure ingredients such as wild sea perch and cream of organic pumpkin, which have as little carbon footprint as possible. To make our Earth Hour menu even more effective, we shall donate € 2 per cover to the World Wildlife Fund", says Sido de Brabander, Chef at the new Brut Bubbles & Bites Brasserie.
Apollo Hotel ’s-Hertogenbosch – Zaltbommel is offering the “Happy Earth Hour”. From 8.30 to 9.30 p.m., the hotel will be treating guests to sustainably produced canapés, free of charge.
