Frans Post Uiterweer has been active as a freelance photographer since 1994. He graduated successfully from the Academy of Photography in Haarlem, the Netherlands.
From his studio in Amsterdam he serves a variety of clients including advertisement agencies, illustrated magazines, as well as individuals.
His passion for photography started at a young age, when he travelled the world, accompanied by his camera. His eye for detail and his direct contact with nature and people from remote communities are all important elements in his work.

Riding a “Bullet”, a motorbike from 1933, manufactured by Royal Enfield, the freelance photographer Frans Post Uiterweer crossed the Himalayas conquering the highest passes in the world. He made an unique photo report of this journey in North-West India, Ladakh, and the Indus Valley.
In March 2009 his photographs and travel journal was published in the spring edition of the Big Black Book, style guide for the successful man.
